Over 1 millions children are killed every year in elective abortions, almost 50,000 of them after 16 weeks. Now let’s talk about how to best save their lives. #abortion #forthechildrenhttp://click-to-read-mo.re/p/7zhv/536a421d

I really just love pro-life logic.
Why help those who have been born when we can stick our noses into other people’s private health care matters? Lets try to get them to keep their pregnancies! We can go back to ignoring them after they give birth.
Yeah, makes total sense, right?

You want to save children?
How about we start with the 397,000 in foster care in the U.S. and give them loving, permanent homes? x
Or the 1.5 million homeless children in america? X
Or the 16.2 million children who are going hungry in america? X
Or the 18,900,000 children who are refuges, running from violence in their homelands? X
Or the 6 million children in the U.S. alone who are abused each year? X
Or the 1.2 million children who are trafficked, sold as slaves, usually sexual slaves, each year? X
Oh, no, let’s start with the non-sentient fetuses that can’t feel pain, or know what’s going on.
Let’s ignore these millions and millions of living, breathing children who are living through hell right now.

whatever your opinion is on abortions, it doesnt negate all the facts that are brought up in the last comment.

Hawkeye!!

Anon- i almost forgot what this was about when i read Hawkeye, then i had to check my previous posts to remember what it was about. lol.

anyways, i cant really recall many second chance, it’s something i dont usually get. i do recall though that at one of my previous jobs i worked at a call center that did work with Geek Squad, and i was fired about 6 months into it because i got caught helping out and elderly woman for free instead of selling her on a $100 over the phone service (all she wanted to do was format her thumb drive to FAT32). anyways, i was let go and less than a week later i got a call from that job, asking me if i’d come back because they needed help. i figured i had some leverage so i got a 50 cents raise to come back and i stayed on for about 3 years there before quitting to go elsewhere.

that was the only second chance i could think of off the top of my head.

I remember watching the behind the scenes on this show. The creator of the show said that they got so much fan mail saying this show was the most realistic hospital show.

My parents both worked in the medical profession my whole life, and when I was watching them come home, I could see echoes of what this show did. All other medical shows were so much about the drama. This one nailed it. It nailed the good, the bad, and everything in between.

yesterday it was announced that the current thor would lose his ability to wield his hammer after being deemed unworthy and that a woman would take possession of it and would call herself Thor. i have a few tiny issues with it but NONE of them have to do with the fact that 1.) someone else is using the hammer or 2.) that it is a woman. i don’t find anything wrong with the fact that it’s a woman taking over, though i am disappointed that it wasn’t Sif or Valkyrie, but that’s nothing to go apeshit about, like some of the supposed comic book fans (mostly, but not all, male) that seem to have some sexist and incredibly stupid reasons behind their vitriol yesterday.

personally i do not think that she will be in the roll for longer than 1-2 years because “the big two” always will find a way to bring things back to the status quo eventually much like when a big character is “killed” or loses their powers, but maybe she will still be around and end up becoming a new character that will inspire future artists, writers, and cosplayers for many many more years to come.

MARVEL ANNOUNCES NEW FEMALE THOR FROM JASON AARON AND RUSSELL DAUTERMAN ON THE VIEW
By Andrew Wheeler
Marvel chose daytime talk show The View as the venue to reveal its latest female-led solo title; a new Thor ongoing series from current Thor writer Jason Aaron and current Cyclops artist Russell Dauterman. If you’re wondering how Thor can be a female-led solo title, well, grab a seat chum. Thor is a lady now.
This is not the first time a son of Odin has become the old man’s daughter, but when Loki spent time as a woman it was because he stole the body of the warrior Sif, and as a shape-shifting trickster he can probably do it whenever he wants. Not so Thor; Marvel says that this is “a brand new female hero” rather than the old Thor after a magical (or even non-magical) transformation.
